Improve clouds in Live Weather

Well it’s pretty simple, my friends. MSFS 2024 was promised to be “the future of flight simulation”. In my honest opinion, realism in a flight simulator has a lot to do with atmospherics and cloud depictions. And, after seeing what Laminar has done with their simulator, it’s seems fair to ask for Asobo to do so as well. Let’s face it, MSFS’ weather depictions are awful. If you don’t see it, here it is:

Let’s get this on to Asobo’s radar. (And while we’re at it, maybe we can get a functional WX radar too…?) The weather is so important for any game, let alone a flight simulator. The Bing ground data is wonderful, so let’s create a digital twin of our skies too.

There is a thread already requesting the use of Damian Clark from HifiSimulations, similarly to the way Microsoft hired Working Title to do their avionics. This is a fantastic idea, and Damian has already said he’d be glad to work with Asobo to create a highly realistic weather system for MSFS. Hire HiFi Sim Damian to fix the weather in the sim for good! - #48 by LateAura49

Now, with the current live weather issues in MSFS (FS2020/2024 - Live Weather Not Generating Any Clouds/Precip (11-April-2025)), I believe the time has come for a highly detailed weather system in MSFS which will catapult it beyond any shred of competition.

I look forward to seeing your thoughts and comments (and votes) on this, and I wish us all nothing but friendly skies!
