I know it is hard to keep up with updates but here is one idea to make the update process more transparent. How about a public “Kanban” board or similar where we can follow where the airport updates are in your testing process? That could at least make the wait easier since we know a bit more when to expect the updates. Might even help the producers of Airports see what they need to do (if anything).
I’d rather see a full changelog — it’s very difficult with some products to see what exactly’s been updated/added.
That could be added too but I was mostly thinking of a “status” page where one could see where in the process it was. That way they don’t have to answer our annoying questions ;).
How about Asobo sends a technician to each and every one of our homes to aid in every update. They’ll come to your house, perform the download, check to see everything is working properly and be on call 24/7 to show up for any problems that occur. Why not??? They’re just as likely to do what I’m suggesting as what you, or anyone here suggests.
That’s a bit of a condescending reply to what is a simple enough suggestion (irrespective of whether I agree or not). As for “what anyone here suggests”, adding a product changelog isn’t an insurmountable task — in fact, most sim stores manage it so I’d like to hear why you think MS is incapable for its own store…
The description for a product can be made to display a change log, or anything text based really. Most don’t use it, and probably more don’t know how to do it.
It’s the “version” button I am referring to.
Yes but not everyone has skills in software development. This Josh might not know aobut devops and how that works. Which is fine :).
This is more about knowing the status of the testing. The update itself is done by the developers and that is not anything we need insight in right now. Just the MSFS part.
Man I hate that, version 1.2.17 and nothing else. Lazy as it gets.
