I bought the premium deluxe upgrade in the store in-game after playing the normal standard edition through game pass but it doesn’t say I actually own the game anywhere. Can anybody help?
I don’t have an answer but I was wondering the other day if I could purchase the upgrade in the in-game store and then “own” the game. I’m willing to guess FS will eventually leave GamePass. Looking forward to seeing an answer.
I purchased in the store the upgrade. If you just buy the upgrade and not the standard + upgrade it is considered DLC and if you leave gamepass you will not be able to fly until you purchase the base game.
I doubt it will ever leave gamepass as it is an MS title and supports cross play to xbox if you have ultimate.
I confirmed this with Microsoft, you’re 100% correct.
Hi its502geekguy,
Thanks for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today.
The most cost-efficient way to purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator is to stop your Game Pass subscription and buy the edition you are interested in from the Microsoft Store.
If you purchase an upgrade (DLC pack) from the Marketplace, then it is more advantageous to purchase the Premium Deluxe Bundle but you need to continue subscribing to Game Pass.
We have reproduced below the content corresponding to each pack—please be aware that the base sim is not included in any Upgrade pack.
You do get the option to buy to own all versions in the MS Store app, which is probably the best way to go if you’re unsure about staying on Game Pass.
