I was trying to get the MetaQuest video recorder to work today but 9 times out of 10 when I clicked to launch into the PC as the PCVR loaded it would crash the link and I would end up back in the headset. I then found I could Cast to the MetaQuest App in my phone however only about 3 times out of 4 would the video save to the Gallery. Has anyone been through either of these applications and managed to figure out how they work. I use the OG Oculus Quest 2 USB cable, the PC is running Windows 11. Many Thanks
So after much Googling I found a post that solved the video recording issue. I’ve been starting my quest, then in the headset starting the video and then clicking the Link to view the computer desktop.
The trick is to set up your quest so the double tap feature pauses link which in turn allows you to start recording by holding the oculus button and pulling the trigger on the right hand controller. Then either double tap or push the oculus button to return to your PC.
