Incorrect Korea Localization in US on new Dell Latop

I am installing FS2020 on my new Dell Alienware laptop, and the Premium option was not available because it said I had Korean Localization. I’m in the US. What? I looked in Windows settings and the language is English, and searching for localization Windows setting I didn’t find anything. Ideas?

What do you have your Locale set to?

Settings>Time & Language>Region & language

Also, did the OS come pre-installed? Perhaps where you bought it from had that set.

Thanks for your help. Region is United States, time is correct, language English. It is a preinstalled OS from Dell, however since the Region is correct I don’t know where else this parameter could be located. If I can’t figure this out I probably should contact Dell.

Is the error coming from the MS Store app or MSFS Content Manager?

Store - good point. I’ll try installing from Content Manager.

Yes, premium content can only be downloaded from Content Manager.

I have an Alienware 17 R4. I love it! MSFS runs perfect on it.

Hope you enjoy yours. :slightly_smiling_face:

My first installation on my desktop from the store I believe let me install Premium - but could be wrong and it really doesn’t matter I guess - I’m installing now on my laptop. It said I owned it already. I wonder how it handles installation on two different machines from the same MS account and user…

That Korean localization error message is clearly wrong…if I had just a little more motivation I would ZenDesk it…

They changed the Content Manager in last major patch. I like it because it gives the option of what you want to install. Like I chose not to download the lessons.

I have the sim installed on 3 devices.

Mine is an R2 with a 4K monitor and surprisingly its running all my sims at highest settings. However, on MSFS2020 its have an issue with the brightness/white color being too bright and washing out the colors. Its fine with everything else. What the heck? For sure I’m not adjusting my Windows monitor settings, but maybe I have to create a special NVIDIA profile for this game.

I think it’s the sim. Others reporting the same. I don’t notice it much on the laptop, but I do on desktop. I set a profile for my monitor for it.

Did you have to buy licenses for each one?

NVIDIA or sim profile?

No. Just use the same account. But only one can be in use at the same time.

In my monitor. Has different profiles but I’m sure nvida can be used too.

OK - I think I bought another Standard license - on well.

I have the RTX 2080 Super. Very nice and very fast. My laptop is faster than my fairly new desktop now, but it’s probably in part because I run three monitors on my desktop.

Mine is the 1080 so you should get some great performance and quality.

On my laptop, I do use a laptop cooler. Fans on the laptop are louder than the aircraft engines.

Interesting. Yes the fan is loud, but I’ve read that for this laptop the cooler doesn’t do much. I’ll research some on that. This is the first RTX that isn’t the scaled down MAX-Q version - it rocks.
