This is what works for me after long trial and error. Before I close the game "General Options turn OFF online Data. then the next time I start it up it boots in about 2 minutes. Then I turn on Online Date everything seems to work Multiplayer Weather etc… What doesn’t happen is MSFS it will say during the boot checking for online updates, but it doesn’t (it can’t). If you have online data turned on at boot time. then it goes thru everything to make sure nothing is corrupt or needs to be updated etc. and if you have a large community folder this can be a very long time. I’m not saying this will solve your issue but it sure does work for me. Let me know if it helps.
