(this is not about roll chevron discontinuity)
Hi. There is already an obsolete request for 2020, so this is for 2024
The perfect monitor setup is a central 4K and two 3440x1440 curved widescreens (horizontal centerlines aligned).
WHY? 40xx series GPUs and a fast CPU properly configured can cleanly render 4K + 2 1440p wides at >50fps. None of this series can handle 3 native 4K monitors.
BENEFITS…
No hat switch to look left/right! That is huge! I’m a pilot and once I saw this, I thought, wow this is a huge leap in realism!
You can see your passengers, the entire panel, doors and windows
Eye tracking is unnecessary unless you want a tiny bit of horizontal translation to see around a pillar.
It is the single greatest upgrade I’ve done. It is mostly gorgeous and drastically improves the experience!
PROBLEM… The vertical scrunching of the side panels. We need to zoom the vertical aspect so that panel edge alignment doesn’t only align in the middle!
I know we’re not supposed to plead, but… ![]()
