The AH Grumman F3 caused CTD for everyone on a specific loading order. Now THAT was a bug, definitely on the plane. Early Carenados caused 100% CTD when lowering the sunvisor. Now THAT was defintetely also a bug in the plane. Just examples.
Also there already was a statement, that Asobo finally could replicate the error. If it was something in the code of the F35 you could bet IFE already would have fixed it, because IFE is one of the finest developer. They would even give you your money back. There are not many developers which would do that.

Absolutely no criticism of the developer. He is fantastic and the quality of his work is great. The F-35 without CTD is no exception and is a really good plane. I’m looking forward to further development of the plane in a few areas such as making it true FBW, additional screens on the display such as GPS terrain maps etc…
We have one issue here with the CTD that is currently not able to be solved but which is actively being worked on to resolve it.
Yes, the problem is the plane itself, since the CTD is unique to it.
But we don’t know if it’s the plane’s code or Asobo code that is causing the crash. Once that is determined the fix should be easy. There is really no point going round in circles about the issue which is well known and pointing blame at anyone. Just enjoy the preview of the plane that we have and understand that it will be fixed as soon as possible.

I’ll continue to wait. The 15E and 78X are enough for me at the moment. The Chic Fil A that just got delivered to my house cost more than the 35. I’ll live…
But they better get it fixed soon!!!

Thakyou for this work around .I own the Goshawk so l am hoping its not just your lucky find.
I also own the Macchi,wonder if that can coax the F35 to stay in the game as well.

Is this actually reproducible? Because I have managed to do a few 3-4 hour flights with the F35 just fine, then other days it crashes within 10-20 minutes.

I am able to reproduce this. Flying the F-35 right after opening MSFS, it crashed to desktop every time after
a couple of minutes.
When loading a flight with the T-45 (tried no other plane; just let it roll some meters) and the firing up the
F-35, no CTDs at all.
Hope this helps finding a fix for this mess. At least i can fly the plane now…

I just tried with the IFE MBB339. Loaded that plane first and rolled on the runway, then came back to main menu, loaded the F35-B and flew for 20min. Then CTD while landing at KSBA.
On my AppCrashView it looks like the faulty module is ucrtbase.dll

So running the game with other resources loaded in memory, i.e. altering the initial state of the sim when loading the actual F35, “fixes” the issues. Sure hope people finally accept that it’s not the plane. (Who am I kidding.)
My hat’s off to VariablBeet26. Since my purchase of the F35, the plane had experienced an early CTD most flights. I tried the remedy discovered by Variable Beet26 (flying the Goshawk before flying the F35) and it works! Made 4 flights with the F35, launching the T45 first, and had no CTD’s. I then tried 2 flights launching the F35 without launching the Goshawk first (after relaunching MSFS) and experienced a CDT both times before I could leave the runway. FYI, I was able to fly the Goshawk, return to the main menu, set up and fly the F35, return to the main menu, set up another flight with a different variant of the F35 and fly it successfully, and so on with no CDT’s. I only had to fly the Goshawk one time.

I bought the T-45C to try this. At best, no more CTDs. At worst, I got a new plane and the CTDs will hopefully be fixed soon.
As somone who does not yet own the F-35 (want to buy - waiting for real solution for CTDs) … it’s pretty funny to see an “F-35” at a busy airport rendered as a gigantic generic tubeliner hovering and moving slowly across the ramp at a few hundred feet, lol.

Sans CTDs, the 35 is amazing. Once it’s truly CTD-free, it’s worth every cent.
So far, so good. KT74(closest runway to me) to KBUF currently.

I tried the T-45 trick this afternoon. I flew the F35B from RAF Valley, down the the Mach Loop, then back to Valley for some STOVL work… landed and shut down, added fuel and then fired the airplane up again before making a supersonic run down to Plymouth for multiple STOVL approaches on HMS Prince of Wales. That was at least an hour of flying in VR and no CTD. It was just one flight though, so I am not completely convinced this is the answer, but so far so good.
