You “proved” nothing of the sort. The Moderators have spoken. Let it drop.

Are the CTD’s fixed yet? That’s what people want to know.

No fix on the CTDs yet, but per the Discord channel, there’s hope coming soon in the form of version 1.0.2. No ETA, but the developer is intimating it’s imminent.

i tried the B version and sometimes CTD during loading flight, sometimes CTD after 10 minuts flying…no matter if HAGS on or off, multiplayer on or off, i’m running with no rolling cache…so the problem it is not fixed

The developer responded to my post on Discord around 5:40 CST. He said, “As soon as it’s ready - hopefully in a few days”

Check out this article:

I’m shocked… SHOCKED!!! … that the head of Raytheon thinks that their engine is the answer to the plane’s problems…

Well, this thread was cool while it lasted…

Don’t take it personally. The moderators have said a number of times before you posted that this thread is for discussing the IFE F-35 and to move debates concerning the real aircraft to the General section. One of my posts was flagged as such. It’s their forum and IMHO, to hang out here, we need to comply with moderator’s requests. Hard to sit here on my hands reading misinformed rhetoric, but them’s the rules, as they say.

From IFE discord:
We have been working (hard I should say) on a test build with alternate HTML5/JS code for the HMD, in order to solve the CTD stability problem of some users.
Unfortunately the new HMD code (which relies on the Asobo Super Hornet) is missing some of the F-35 specific functionality / graphics… although it is quite complete and functional.

Initial test on few users indicate that this solves the CTD problem for them.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING RANDOM CTDs PROBLEMS AND ARE WILLING TO HELP WITH A QUICK TEST, PLEASE SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE.

So seems like main problem was indeed in HMD.

I sent him a DM. Hopefully I get to try it.

DM sent as well. I gotta work from home tomorrow afternoon so I got nothing better to do anyway!

So what are the functions lost in the HDM?

Still playing around with it(in the same session!!!). I use the EFI, FCS, ENG, and HUD screens in that order(left to right) along with the AP and the Lites screens. Just about everything looks the same to me with the exception of the HUD. It’s not bad by any means. It’s just different. If it came out like this with them saying they’re working on it for future updates, everyone would have been A-OK.

Not sure if it’s against decorum to post a pic of it, so I’ll hold off on that. I’m very happy with it.

Changes were to HMD (Helmet-mounted display) AFAIK, so only HUD should be different.

I’ve also been flying the tester for the last hour or so with no problems. Not 100% sure yet, but really it does seem stable so far! Gonna have another go tomorrow and report back to Dino

Looking good at this end too.

I flew this route in the Bravo from RAF Honington. 2 hours and 25 minutes in a single session with no CTD’s . :sunglasses: The route involved two fuel stops, where I shut the airplane down completely to a cold/dark state. There is no way I would have been able to do that with the current public build.
