Engines, Propellers and Fans are all more efficient in colder temps. Warmer temps decrease performance.
Iâm putting together a bunch of flight plans covering real world North American Low Level Military Training Routes (MTRS). Iâm finding the MB 339 ideal for practicing terrain following flight. Plenty fast enough (no trouble reaching 400 kt at 100ft MSL), and fairly easy to get out of trouble when your concentration does lapse momentarily! Details here:
How can i get such a sharp cockpit with the reflections on the gauges ?
Sorry if I missed that, but will that airplane be on the âofficialâ MSFS marketplace (the one âin gameâ)?
I am new to flight simming, specifically when it comes to purchasing add-ons (so far Iâve bought my âhomeâ airport).
Somehow Iâd prefer to purchase everything on the marketplace (even if it would take a bit longer until an update hits the store), simply for the reason that âeverything is togetherâ and I get properly notified by updates (instead of emails from half a dozen âexternal vendorsâ where I need to keep track of all the âdownload ULRsâ etc.).
UPDATE: Oh, I missed it indeed! According to the developerâs facebook page it is available since January 8 2021
Thank you IndiaFoxTecho for this plane, itâs a joy to fly.
Please note the following comments:
- When doing a full roll, one can notice an abnormal jump at one point on the rotation axis.
- It would be nice if all usable items on the cockpit could have their proper tip when hovering the mouse over them.
- Sometime, the throttle is not responsive when using a flight stick (TCA Airbus edition) upon starting a new flight. Moving the slider up/down finally fixes the issue which lasts for the whole flight.
- There is a slightly annoying dithering effect on the instrument panel. I donât know if this is due to the material choice but Iâm pretty sure it can be enhanced.
Thanks again for this plane, itâs a pleasure to fly.
I noticed a minor glitch when using a Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant, which binds one of the switches to turn landing lights on and off.
When the switch is set to âonâ position, the landing lights toggle continuously on and off, or at least a clicking noise is run continuously.
Switching to âoffâ turns off the lights and stops the sound.
@Vibstronium, can you share your Bravo MB-339 config somehow? I donât know if itâs easy to share the profile itself or just describe it briefly. I noticed the clicking switch issue too, but was hoping to rebind those switches to do the engine and fuel controls for startup/shutdown. I canât find many of these controls listed in the assignments though, gen1/gen2 for example. But Iâm assuming Iâm just a newb.
How about the air brake/spoilers? I tried using the speed brake lever and assigning it to the spoiler axis, but that appears to just send a confused on/off signal. So I instead tried to use the Flaps up/down button and bound it to Spoiler retract/extend. That kinda works, but the sequence can get screwed up such that Iâm pushing down to extend and they retract. Iâm assuming I just need to use a single button to toggle it on/off, but the brake and its indicator appear to have two extended positions (three total including retracted).
@SkipTalbot â sure, I donât think I can export the settings in an obvious way but Iâll try to describe.
I started with the default profile that was enabled for the device, which is for the GA configuration. As described on the video linked from Honeycombâs FAQ, I had to fix the second throttle axis by unbinding it, verifying, and rebinding it to the axis.
Then I made a duplicate profile for the jet/commercial profile, where I made the following changes (hopefully I didnât miss anything):
- unbound all the throttle/prop/mixture axes and the reverse buttons that go with them
- bound first axis to âSpoilers Axisâ, with âReverse Axisâ not checked
- bound second through fifth axes to âThrottle <1/2/3/4> Axisâ, with âReverse Axisâ checked
- bound the reverse buttons for second through fifth axes to âThrottle <1/2/3/4> Decreaseâ
- bound the sixth axis to âFlaps axis (-100 to 100%)â, with âReverse Axisâ not checked
I additionally changed the last switch from avionics power to parking break, which I did by binding the âonâ position to âSet Parking Breakâ and unbinding the âoffâ position.
This seems to work for me with the various jets; for the MB-339 I just use one throttle lever, and last I tried it the speed brake lever worked as I expected (up is withdrawn, pulling it down extends it).
Thanks. Iâll give that spoiler axis another try, maybe I just picked the wrong one.
I just brought this from the Marketplace and itâs a great plane to fly but I have one issue.
When I push forward on the stick the plane wobbles slightly left and right and it gets worse the further I push. It flies normally doing everything else like pulling up and turning. I noticed if I add a bit of rudder it stops wobbling, is this usual?
I am using an Xbox 360 controller and I havenât seen a similar issue in any of the standard planes.
Increase the deadzone and see if it helps.
I think this is a regression from the last WU3.
The plane was not behaving like this before the upgrade and I noticed it immediately after.
It may be related to the incorrect flight model change Asobo discussed in a recent blog update.
Iâve found it even wobbles pitching down using the keyboard, I think it is a bug in the code and not with the controller.
When is the next update day, guys ?
After Sim Update 3. I believe the Goshawk gets released first. Thatâs tentatively scheduled for today.
Goshawk, today ??
Potentially. IndiaFoxTecho posted on Facebook that itâs all ready to be released, but they havenât gotten final confirmation about all the changes coming in MSFS Update 3 coming later this week, so they canât be 100% sure that the update in a few days wonât break the plane in some way. Theyâre currently debating whether to release and hope Update 3 doesnât break anything, or wait until they get more info from Asobo and/or Update 3 releases.
Thanks. I saw their post as Iâm following their blog/Facebook page too.
Meanwhile, I do think the MSFS fix posted last week for the flight model does have some influence. It ''seems" better.
Is that about Goshawk release or the update for MB 339 ???
