Inibuids A320neo V2 engine issues when spawning ready for takeoff

Hi there,

I’m here to report a bug involving the Inibuilds A320neo V2 and its behaviour upon entering the map and spawning on the runway. There is some other weird behaviour that happens on this plane and similarly on the Inibuilds A321LR, but that’s for another time. Also, if anything seems out of place in this post, it’s because I’m following the template given to everyone posting Bug Reports on the Flight Sim forums. Lastly, please excuse me if you might not know what I’m talking about, I’m not very knowledgeable on aircraft systems. Though I do know basic cockpit operations.

When loading into the map in an A320neo and spawning on a runway, ready for takeoff, for some reason, the left engine of the aircraft fails, powering down to about 5%, before then somehow grasping the cliff edge and ramping back up to 20%, at just as gradual of a speed as during normal start-up. If you look up to the overhead panel before the engine ramps up to about 15%, you can find that the Engine 1 Generator button (and one other button corresponding to the left engine one sub-panel above that) are both displaying FAULT.

But things don’t stop there.

For some reason, the plane always spawns with spoilers fully up at 100%, which causes it to scream at me and complain with a red warning as I ramp up the engines to TO/GA (full throttle).

Here is a video which shows the issue. For context, please enable subtitles before watching it: https://youtu.be/4FXmO0Nt_I0

Q: “If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue?”
A: Airbus A320 and A321LR

Q: “[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?”
A: Yes and yes.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Q: “How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?”
A: Every single time when using the A320neo or A321LR.

Q: “Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:”

A1. Selected the A320neo V2 from Inibuilds as the aircraft I want to fly in the Free Flight menu.
A2. Selected any runway at any airport and pressed Fly Now.
A3. Watched the plane do what it wants.

Q: “What peripherals are you using, if relevant?”
A: Thrustmaster TCA Officer Pack Airbus Edition (Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick X Airbus Edition and Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition)

Q: [PC Only] “Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?”
A: No.

Q: “[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?”
A: I’m using MSFS 2024, so DX12.

Q: “[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?”
A: AMD Radeon RX 7600

Q: “[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?”
CPU: Intel Core i5-12600KF @ max. 4.9GHz
RAM: 32GB DDR5 @ 6000MHz
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B760-I Gaming WiFi
System Drive: WD Blue SN570 1TB
Second Drive: Seagate Barracuda 3TB

Q: “Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring:”
A: https://youtu.be/4FXmO0Nt_I0

• Yes

• Experiencing same issue if spawning from the sky

• This was posted by OP 4 months ago, how is there no update/fix or response why this is happening??

I’m also having the same issue. it also seems to affect the Fenix aircraft as well. Has anyone seen if this has been fixed in the beta?

EDIT: I found out that the issue on my end was being caused by the fuel selector being bound on my HOTAS to an “always on” selector. as soon as i removed the keybinding, the engine came back to life and everything was normal again. since this is a binding mainly for GA, it also did not show on the engine pump selectors in either the ECAM or the overhead panel, making me think everything was normal. I would not have found this unless i disconnected my controls and attempted to restart the engines. then it was a matter of finding which button was causing the issue.

Suggestion to Asobo: pehaps disable this fuel control on the jetliners so that it is ignored as there is no indication on the aircraft what can be causing this (everything appears normal in the jet)
