After a 2000’ descent to a new cruise altitude, how do you get back into cruise mode?
With the A320, after your initial takeoff when you get to the acceleration level, I believe that’s around 1500 ft AGL by default, you put the throttles in the Climb (CL) position, and leave them there.
You don’t move them for a descent, so you don’t need to do anything at your new cruise altitude.
You go to the INIT page in the MCDU and enter your new altitude in the CRZ FL field.
