Contrail bug for iniBuilds A330-300 GE, as shown in the picture, I don’t know if the others are the same
I had this as well
I have this on the RR variant, too. Was fine for the 1st hour of flight, but some time between then and 6hrs in, the contrail has moved to the APU.
That must not be a bug with the aircraft itself. If you went to settings and changed something or were pausing the sim in before it may relate to this. You can reproduce this on any jet engine aircraft on MSFS 2024:
- fly at contrail altitude
- check contrails formed (they likely will appear at the engines)
- go into settings, maybe change something
- go back to the flight
- look again and you will see the results from above
The reason for this is that the camera will move far away from the aircraft which deactivates LOD 0 - as the other LOD levels don’t have nodes used to place effects like this the contrails will be generated at the aircraft center instead.
Unfortunately they won’t refresh their position when the nodes are back so they will stay at this position for the rest of the flight

have same problem with A330-300GE (delta livery from inimanager, klm default livery)
Same problem with the A321 in Global Freightways Livery. I did a separate bug report but they merged it with this topic - which is a totally different aircraft. Trying to reduce their bug report statistics?

Same here! Upon closer inspection the solo contrail isn’t even coming from the APU exhaust outlet - but just arbitrarily coming out of the fuselage below the APU exhaust.
