Do you have ruptured eardrums
? I just took this thing from Paris Orly to Cayenne and back over the past two days ā the landing gear sounds broke my ears!
I havenāt noticed that at all.
Edit: Just landed in EDDM and got a little rumble in the buttkicker but not much by way of sound. Seems good to me. (The flap motor whine might be a little loud in the cockpit but I like it.)
Me neither. My last flight after the update was actually very pleasant.
To be fair: On the real A350, the landing gear (especially the nose gear!) extends and retracts with an ear-shattering bang and rumbles immensely during high speed movement on ground.
Guess there must be a downside to having such a comfortably quiet cabin. ![]()
I do wonder if it still sounds so loud with headphones on though⦠in the cockpit, the pilotās headphones option in the EFB silences things pretty well⦠and then pop! goes the gear.
I use headphones all the time in the sim and never experience anything but good audio
In the sim Sound settings, I have Environment set to 10. I have the internal sounds set down a touch more in the EFB. I donāt get the roaring gear sound.
However, I took it up for the first time since SU5 release, and once I reached altitude, the altitude buzzer sounded, and nothing I could so would silence it.
I donāt know if you understood what I meant⦠I use headphones too. I meant that in the iniBuilds a350 efb, there is an option to enable an alternate sound pack as if you were inside an a350, but wearing headphones, so the engines, wind, and aircraft sounds are slightly muted. It gives you the experience a real pilot would have and honestly I love it. But with all the sound sliders in the ini a350 efb set to recommended, I still get some crazy noise when raising or lowering the gear. It might be realistic when the āheadphone soundsetā is off, but with all the other noises muted but the gear is not, it blows my ears off.
So again: I think that the gear noises might be realistically loud, but they should be quieter in the āheadphones-onā soundset that enables when you toggle āpilot headphonesā in the ini a350s EFB. According to Reddit, this is a universal issue across MSFS2024, but I use 2020 only.
Sorry about any confusion, I am aware that not all of us speak English natively and sometimes online translators mess things up.
Are you 100% sure this is an A350 issue and not a sim issue? I ask because Iāve noticed strange volume discrepancies myself in the cockpit with engine & gear sounds. Namely after I get an ATC message or I quickly switch to external view and back, the volume is always louder. I put this down to the sim or the fact Iām running Dolby ATMOS. I never really use other aircraft though, Iāll admit.
I donāt have this issue in PMDG planes, which also have an alternate āquietā soundset through Boris. Either way, wherever the issue is from, it needs to be fixed.
After reading your reply, I understand what you are saying. Like have noise suppression headphones. I would be more inclined to use this feature if I was using Vatsim. Definitely a good option to have. Sorry about misunderstanding you.
I fly the A320 (sim) mostly . I have all the Thrustmaster Airbus controls and Winwing MCDU FCU and EFIS ā¦
so how much of my controllers and panels will be useful for the A350.
Itās very expensive, so is it worth it for those that bought it and have flown it a lot. thanks
They should all work just like the 320. I use the same profile for the Fenix A320s and the iniBuilds A321 and A350. I have the thrust master sidestick, Saitek panels and TQ6+ throttles. The 350 is expensive but I have probably flown it 20 times now so my cpf (cost per flight) is fairly low now.. Itās hard to give an opinion on value for money as these things are so subjective. (One manās trash is another manās treasure.)
I have the same gear and Iāve done a few flights recently and everything just worked perfectly with SimAppPro aloneāno profiles need to be downloaded, no MobiFlight etc. Itās really pretty amazing!
got an update. but no anouncement yet
Yeah itās weird, I got same, but itās still showing version 1.2.5, which was already out.
i also got 1.2.5
You need rock solid hardware to run it. I have RTX3070, i712700K with 32 Gigs of RAM - wont buy it on two counts
- My hardware is not up to it
- I still see numerous issues being reported, with WASM crash still being most prominent
I have Fenix and PMDG, BATC for ATC and traffic (with fair bit of density) along with payware like EDDF, EHAM, LSZH, KBOS, KSFO etc etc. - they all work fine with my current rig; you see what am I trying to say? That said. Iād love having the a350 but will wait for now.
For me, the performance of the A350 is much improved over when it came out, likely due to a combination of Inibuilds updates as well as SU5. Iāve been flying this around in Australia the last few days, and donāt notice any real difference between this and the Fenix, for example. I donāt have any hard numbers to back that up. āYour Mileage May Varyā, of course.
(My specs are in my profile.)
WASM crashes are another story, and my gut says itās unrelated to performance. I had one yesterday, right when I clicked on something in the MCDU. Fortunately the auto-save allowed me to return to roughly where I was at.
This inibuilds post is now 1 year old
The exterior cover updates are part of wider on-going work to make the A350 fully compatible with the MSFS 2024 career mode.
