ok so as soon as I put the g2 on my head in the introduction WMR page the first thing I noticed is how much crisper and sharper the image is. I then noticed the edges are abit blurry but I can live with that, coming from a CV1 the screen is very clear and crisp.
I then tried the 747 flight deck to see how it was compared to my CV1, where the CV1 it was all blurry, I was pleasantly surprised by the ability to read the mcp, efis, fmc etc, yes you will need to bend down to get a clear picture but i am happy with the quality compared with the cv1.
The only problem I have with this headset that after a few minutes i get pain on the back of my skull just above my neck, never got this problem with the CV1.
Overall it is a very good headset and I am looking forward to spending many hours in it especially in FS2020.
I recall this pain when I first had my G2 from CV1. Can’t remember exactly but think I adjusted where the back of headstrap would sit.. maybe slightly higher than the CV1.
This is a top strap and counterweight kit. It’s very high quality and the velcro secures the bits securely. There’s also a 100g counterweight and the top strap and counterweight are available separately.
I don’t know if any of this might help you but it really does help the comfort and balance of the headset. For others, they sell these kinds of products for most headsets if anyone else is chasing fit issues.
