Instability FPS

Hello,

I have a big problem of fps constancy on msfs 2020, I mean that even in average graphic parameter the image hangs a few seconds then becomes fluid again, hangs again etc. … until then we could say that it is normal but given my configuration it is inexplicable

Here is the configuration: cpu i9 12900ks

                     Ram: 64go 4800mhz

                     Gpu: RTX 3090

                     3 ssd storage level

For the screen I have a 34 inches msi curved for gaming

I tested in vr with openxr toolkit, when displaying fps it goes from 40/50 fps to 9, then 30, 50, 8 etc… which really creates that slow/fluid/idle feeling.

When I test on my monitor I display the fps in dev mode and I notice that the fps also play this roller coaster and goes from red to yellow then green etc… Limited by main thread is displayed.

What to do? I have j. Friend who has the same configuration and runs smoothly with the same settings.

I put two videos that speak better of the problem:

the problem persists even in medium configuration in the graphics settings

Any ideas?

Hi Belgian friend. Do you have the latest Nvidia driver installed? Are you with DX11 or 12? I have the same configuration as you except, AMD Ryzen 9 5950x and 64gb ram 3400 MHz, everything is on Ultra except TLOD 100 and I run with 60 fps in the A320 cockpit in a small airport like this. Everything is fluid like butter! This must come from bad parameters perhaps. In my Nvidia control panel, all settings are on DEFAULT, I haven’t changed anything. Geforce Expérience not installed. Have you tried to delete all the addons from the community folder?

Hello!
Yes the last driver is installed and I’m under direct x 11, moreover the installation is new because I just assembled the machine, under Digital combat simulator I have no problem.
It is very curious…
Long live Belgian chocolate!

Is this a computer you built or was it prebuilt?

If prebuilt, it may have LOTS of bloatware installed that could be slowing things down.

Also, make sure all the GPU power cables are plugged in and also reseat the RAM and ensure that it populates the slots correctly. In BIOS, ensure that it recognizes the RAM speed correctly.
