Install/Activate Just Flight product in 2024

Really cool @ForensMick6128 thanks for the tip. It would not allow me to copy these folders but what I have do is creating symbolic links to all the relevant ones. When one was already existing in the MS2024 package folder, I have changed the name to a “.old” folder. Everything works perfectly now (and is kept synchronised with my MSFS2020 version - Just Flight, A2A, BlackSquare and the PMDG DC6

I got this to work with the warrior by doing the following:

You’ll need your MSFS 2020 folders as well as the new MSFS 2024 for this workaround.

  1. copy %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Packages\justflight-aircraft-pa28-warrior-ii

  2. to %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2020\justflight-aircraft-pa28-warrior-ii

  3. make sure to manually copy ‘userinfo.txt’ – you will be prompted to copy it without encryption, do that. (it won’t copy the first time because it’s an encrypted file handle, but the file itself is plaintext)

I’ll try testing it now. Thanks for describing how you got the hawk working!

update: took it for a test flight, seems to work.

some differences:

  • ground handling is a bit twitchy, but ok.
  • the stall horn can go off when doing power on and power off stalls. (that’s nothing new in the plane, it’s the improved 2024 flight model).

I like it, worth a shot while we wait for the official support from JF.

Anyone solved the invalid license in the steam version, or anyone know which files I need to move from MSFS2020 to activate the Arrow bundle in MSFS24?

Yes, I just marked as solution the reply that describes the workaround to make the arrow work in 24. There you go:

I don’t think that is the steam version msfs2020 and I bought the Arrow from the just flight website not the marketplace. The file location you have quoted is not in my msfs installation No worries I will keep trying, Thanks

I also have both steam versions of 2020 and 2024, however I bought the arrow bundle instead of the standalone arrow in their website.

Anyone figured out how to install this in steam version? Just bought the bundle and can’t make it work  I’ve copied the folders from ms2020 to several folders in 2024 and I can’t make the plane appear in the selecion. The only thing is in the marketplace it appears as disabled and can’t enable it.

Also bought Warrior II directly from JustFlight, installed in 2020, moved folders to 2024 and it worked (both to community folder and WASM). Can’t do the same with Arrows, I see two options in marketplace - one from community folder and one from 2020 installation (I bought arrow in 2020 marketplace)

And even though the community arrow has the option to enable it, it doesn’t do anything :frowning:

The 146 and F28 doesn’t seem to work anymore on Xbox since the marketplace release.

Great that worked and solved my problem!

Can I ask, are you able to get this to work in 2024 career mode as well? I have been able to get my recently purchased warrior to work in free flight, but not career mode. Hoping someone else can share a way to do that if it’s even possible. Thanks!

FOR STEAM USERS

I struggled to get the JustFlight Arrow III working in MSFS2024 and was receiving the licence failure notification. But I found a resolution.

So, for those using Steam, I copied my licence file (userinfo.txt) from:

C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\justflight-aircraft-pa28-arrow-iii\work

to:

C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\WASM\MSFS2020\justflight-aircraft-pa28-arrow-iii\work

Everything works perfectly.

using MSFS2024 and got my turbo arrow working using this - but my tomahawk shows up but just getting the spinning circle when I try to load it up at an airport? - any idea how to fix this?

I had that a few times as well. Just press Escape to abort the loading process and start the very same flight again. It usually loaded fine the 2nd time around.

Hey - fantastic!

It’s nice to fly the turbo Arrow again in FS24. Someone had posted a similar user license workaround a while back and it didn’t work for me. Tried again today using your info and all is well.

Thanks for this.

Up in the thread, there is an answer marked as solution. Idk if there is a shortcut for it.
It’s great to be able to fly it in 24, I have the feeling it is somehow even better. From the amount of payware aircraft I have, I still can’t believe this is by far the one I enjoy and fly the most, and there are some real masterpieces out there.
I hope they release the 24 update shortly.

Strangely that didn’t help - but switching out of the MSFS beta got the plane loading again! (But I still seem to get some CTD when changing the key bindings)

Yeah, I just tried as well. It doesn’t seem to work anymore with SU2. But from what I heard the JustFlight Pipers will get compatibility updates soon(ish).

EDIT: workaround: start the flight with another aircraft and Dev mode enabled, then switch to the Tomahawk via the Aircraft Selector in the Tools menu.
