Install not possible due to crashes, worked in the past

Install not possible, worked in the past

(Microsoft) Antivirus disabled
removed all peripherals
multiple tries
lowered CPU, memory, and M.2 speeds just to be sure
I used FS in past without problems
I have no other computer problems

Computer restarts at random time during installation. Continuation of install not possible.

This sucks big time. I would like to refund.

A pc restarting at random will be a Hardware or maybe a Driver issue.
Try a web search for:

Computer restarts at random

I would start with the most common problems and work through it.
Good luck.

Install went finally through today.

Error was on my side. Sorry for the false alarm. Perhaps it helps other people looking for a cause for crashes.

I had overlooked a CPU setting that worked fine for everyting else, but Install Manager showed finally it is not stable. Flight Simulator Install Manager helped me to detect the problem.

Would really like to know more details to your solution. What is your CPU, what setting failed, what setting worked.

Your solution could be helpful to others.

I use a Ryzen 5600 in Eco Mode, 32 GB RAM @ 3200, 1GB NVME drive, Nvidia 3080.

Limiting CPU max preformance, stock RAM speed, lowering PCI Mode for the NVME drive and increasing cooling (fan speeds) did not solve the crashing problem.

I did not think of the -30 setting in Curve Optimizer that I used without problems or crashes in all other use cases for over a year (passed stability tests, games, high load gpu professional use cases, etc …). But after removing the Curve Optimizer BIOS setting the installation finished without crash finally.

(Why I used the Curve Optimizer with Eco Mode in the first place? To achieve high performance on a silent system with stock cooler. Worked in all my other use cases, but not with the flight simulator Install Manager.)
