Install with DVD's?

Ordinally I had MSFS 2020 by using the download option, but that soon collapsed with a failed subsequent update.
Now thinking of a complete new install using the DVD method.
Is there anything I should be aware of ahead of purchasing the DVD set???

Yes, you’ll pretty much end up downloading most of it again anyway as it’s been changed so much since initial release.

so there’s little to be gained then by having the DVD’s right?

yep, the DVD version is pretty much pointless, unless you really want that box for your collection. Going to be an almost full download, after you’re done installing from the DVD’s

thanks! will need to reconnect with my original purchase of the download and start over correct?

I would try to repair it before going for a full reinstall.
