At least we still digitally own the game via our account.
I’m having the Windows Insider bug “bad install path”, so it’s hard to test out my system. I’m wanting to see how it holds up, I think it’ll work (CPU processing power is between minimum and recommended, RAM and graphics are at least comparable and fit the specs) and MSFS probably wouldn’t use the more recent CPU instruction sets, but either way, I have a game ownership for down the line when the PC does work. The tough part to get past is the initial pains of the early days in the release.
Been doing this for hours. No amount of restarts, reinstalls, ect have helped. Can someone confirm if its a server issue. I am going to charge back my payment otherwise as this is a complete mess
I’m not sure, I had done 89GB then it wasn’t moving for ages, the downloader crashed, so I rebooted it up and it was stuck here, I have managed to bypass this once and get onto the game but it wouldn’t let me fly anywhere or look at the tutorials, did let me look at the bush trials but wouldn’t load one in
I’m pretty sure after around 89GB, it finishes up downloading and decompressing the second ‘base’ file, so I’m guessing something about moving on from it is causing an issue.
Disasterwise this launch is a Direct Hit. Why do we get a separate 3 g update? The release was fixated on the 18th. It should have incorporated the update into the main program before release. And you have to pay first! Why not allow the download and allow a 10 minute try like the former MSFS then pay? Some might not have the resources and will drop out. Steam must be “Steamed.” It will take MS weeks to fix this disaster. I will wait.
