I currently have the gamepass version. I wish to install the complete paid version.
Do I have to uninstall?
Does it just keep what I have and update or do I have to reinstall 90+ gigs?
Any potential problems?
During installation, you should have the possibility to chose the folder where data is stored
The default is something like C:\Users\you\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages
This contains about 94GB of data (on my HDD). I am not sure if uninstalling the game also removes this folder, you should be able to make a backup and use this when reinstalling.
I haven’t tried this myself, but I cannot imagine that the files should be different between Gamepass and “standard paid” version
