I spent about 10 career flights on a Boeing 787 max thinking that the navigation instruments on the pedestal were broken and the top panel indication didn’t work, until I accidentally saw a screenshot of a night flight in one of the posts. Is it normal to not be able to see anything on the instruments without the night light? And what now, will I have to fly with night illumination in the daytime too?
