The new update included an option to change the refresh rate of glass cockpit air planes. This setting seems to affect only airliners with glass cockpit but does nothing to planes like King Air or TBM930. My FPS isn’t that great in those planes so I would like to reduce the refresh rate of GA aircraft with Garmin instruments too.
I’ve only tested it on the C208 glass cockpit, so far and it works on those.
Doesn’t work on King Air for me so I’m still using a mod that allows to set the refresh rate of instruments per plane 
Strange. I assumed it was a universal control.
Was the mod installed when you tried the refresh setting?
No I removed it before updating the sim. After the update I noticed the lower FPS and looked closer at the instruments of the King Air and they seem to run at high refresh rate. After that I installed the new version of the mod which was patched for the new update and I can tell the difference between medium and high refresh rate.

Ok. Shame the default setting didn’t work for you.
The new refresh option in the UI is great. Before I tried both user mods. Now it worked without any problems with 2nd external 10Inch display. Pop out 2 instruments/displays on it and all good.

The setting actually seems to work but I still get better performance with the mod 
I dont notice any fps difference on my setup lowering the refresh rate on these planes.

Anyone else find that the glass refresh rate option in the patch doesn’t seem to help, when at large airports or city’s?
Otherwise at altitude it seems to work!
