I searched but found nothing on this particular issue.
Went for a short flight yesterday and was trying to assign keys to specific instrument views, such as bringing up the Garmin unit in a window that I could resize and manipulate instead of having to try to do it in the cockpit which is difficult with the plane bouncing around. I opened up the controls menu, clicked on Keyboard and filtered ALL settings, chose Camera, then clicked on Instrument Views. All I found is Next Instrument View (A) and Previous I.V. (Alt A) but nowhere could I find a toggle to turn any instrument view on or off. In P3D, I had specific instruments assigned to numbers on my keyboard and they would pop up when pressed, I would use them or change them or whatever and then press the same key and they would disappear. Loved that feature.
As far as I can tell from playing with it you have to use the toggle instrument view, then use the next/previous instrument view buttons to navigate between them, then toggle instrument view again to get out of it.
At least when in the instrument view there isn’t any camera movement.
CTRL-1 through -9 will cycle through all instrument views, including switches and knob clusters on the panel, below panel and overheads. Not all planes will use all views depending on how many controls they have.
I had to get in game to see specifically what I had bound.
What I have binded to my joystick is “Toggle Instrument View 1” and then the next/previous. So I can either do reset view or the toggle to get back to the 1st instrument view if i’m not already on it then press it a second time to go back to the regular view.
