Started for the rest of us with world update 3, seems sim update 3 made it worse.
My problem is location dependent.
The PowerPoint starts around the Rambouillet VOR near Paris. If I move away from the VOR the problem goes away.
Worse for me too after Sim update 3. In the task manager, GPU usage goes from 35-40% to 70-75% and remains there for minutes. Last flight, it stayed high for 5 minutes with stutters. Becomes unflyable. I tried several GA airplanes and several locations, same result.
I absolutely experience this issue FAR more in the UK, than in the US for whatever reason.
I also have dramatically increased loading times for flights, got me suspicious. I had a look in the task manager and never seen SDram usuage like this in MSFS
Once the performance drops (5 mins or less or right away) menus hang badly and are almost unsable.Could it be that this is just about the distance that the Photogrammetry for Paris City starts to load in?
From what I can see, my fps issues are pretty directly releated to loading PG/Bing data either from the rolling cache or online.
UK is far worse for me, I guess there is the amount or resolution of the data even higher. London City simply caps out my bandwidth using 50Mbit/s and the performance there is the worst.
Paris doesn’t have photogrammetry though
Even if I turn off online functionality, the manipulators stay at 1200ms
What’s weird is that the problem seems linked to the area around that VOR, I slewed my aircraft all the way around Paris and its whereabouts, only when I cross this VOR the manipulators go crazy.
I zendesked the issue, shouldn’t be too hard for developers to witness the issue given they have the exact location
Yesterday after installing the sim update, I loaded up Adelaide AUS and flew around the area for a good 30-40 minutes in the PA 44 without so much as a hiccup.
Later in the evening I decided to load up Japan (Tokyo Narita) in the stock 747-8i and again everything seemed fine – until I was climbing out and approaching downtown Tokyo / Haneda Int’l – when the low FPS stuttering suddenly kicked-in. I continued to fly around the densely populated area of Tokyo - occasionally heading over to and circling around Mt. Fuji and consistently observed random periods of low FPS stuttering that lasted for up to a minute at a time.
This is the second time I have seen this stuttering in the Tokyo area so I’m confident it is one of the problematic regions.
Killing the VFR map worked for me. Was having a nice stutter free flight… Got cocky, increased Resolution scale… BAM, stutter fest, 10fps nothing brought it back.
I’m running a 3080 and about 5 minutes after loading into the game at a stand, I loose all performance, totally unplayable. It never recovers though. Used to get 50+fps before the update on ultra!
Exact same issue roughly over the VOR landing 19R at KCCR. manipulators go wild and if I active pause the manipulators stay wild and crazy. everything goes back to normal closer to the airport. Get random spikes elsewhere too, but it might be a vor related bug
Same probleme here, on approach to RWY31R at JFK. As soon as I touch the ground FPS drops to 11 and high manipulators and “Limited by main thead” appears. In task manager CPU is at 20% usage. I really don’t get it. What does the manipulators even indicate?
EDIT: Even in the menues it seems to exist. 10 fps in the menue
Before the update it happened only once every 30 minutes or so and only for a few seconds, now it happens all the time. It seems the new rule is stutter and low FPS with now and then a few minutes with good performance.
Community folder empty: same result
Life weather or clear skies: same result.

Same issue. Drops from 55fps to 15 fps sometimes for 10miles then sorts out for a bit then back to lag. Everywhere I fly. Any plane I fly. I’ve noticed that during these performance dips, my GPU usage sinks from around 80% to around 20% on my 2070 S
