I had Spectrum internet which gave me about 300 Mbps D/Load and 9 Mbps Upload. They throttled me heavily, so I went with NordVPN to try and get around it. I still had issues with high latency etc so I just had FIBER installed. My plan is the 250 MBPS plan, however if need be I CAN get the 1 Gig plan. My speed tests are showing 252 Mbps D/Load and a whopping 221 Mbps Upload. NO THROTTLING. I really hope this helps with stutters.
I have 60mbps and have never had a problem with a stutters (until this week when I have a network problem of my own). Are you sure it’s not your hardware?
Wow, with those speeds and no throttling there is no way will you need the 1 Gig plan! You can also save some processing in the sim by turning off rolling cache as cache will be pure overhead (assuming good latencies).
I have my Rolling Cache on a RAM drive. RAM is soooo much faster than either disk access or internet I/O.
The downside is that the RC is only really of use when you fly in the same area repeatedly.
Convince me that I’m wrong.
You’re not wrong ![]()
Well, I hardly ever fly in the same area and if I did I would probably still not use cache given all the posts I’ve read of bad things happening when it fills up!
