I’ve completely given up using the inbuilt real-world traffic, ATC and a/c liveries in MSFS2024. None of it works properly and, if I remember correctly, at least the first two of these were promised as part of MSFS2020. Despite this, no attention was given to proper traffic injection or realistic ATC over the last 4 years and so I doubt this will change much in MSFS2024. Consequently, I finally decided to turn all the Asobo related traffic, liveries and ATC junk off and instead use Beyond ATC, together with the FSLTL models/liveries from FBW. Although I’ve only been using this combination for a couple of days so far… Goodness… it’s so much better. Like night and day! I cannot for the life of me understand why MS didn’t subcontract this element to a supplier skilled in the art. They decided to follow this strategy with other specialist features of the product, including, for example, the in-built flight planner which is brilliant. Sadly, although brilliant, it falls at the first hurdle for lack a coherent ATC engine and a paucity of believable a/c models and liveries.
