Is anyone else really dissapointed?

If they had, would the situation we are in now have changed at all? Perhaps a more pertinent question is, would you have still bought it, and would that have changed your opinion of it?

the built in sim in google earth was doing it since 2007

It’s a bit of stretch to call it a flight simulator, but by definition it is simulating flight to some degree I suppose.

So with Google, and Bing able to do this, it doesn’t really leave much scope for any other flight sim developers out there, without getting onboard with these two giants.

I’m having a fantastic time with it. It’s a huge project and sandbox and for what it is it’s a great start.

some of the real nay sayers would say the same about msfs

They just refuse to embrace the future. It’s okay to be afraid.

Anybody knows why we have to ask ATC to move your pushback? even ask ATC to move your pushback right, left, or straight? Come on dude… ATC sitting in the tower, not in that tug…
Oh my world… what a future… :grinning:

@alphajuliet69
Of course you have to ask ATC. The pushback driver doesn’t have a complete (or even partial) picture, or clearance.

as a fllightsim buff i definitely would have still gotten it. i just feel like paying premium deluxe prices for an unfinished product is a bit of a con. its straight out of the eagle dynamics/dcs playbook. smart move would have just been the standard version, or just the subscription. premium deluxe disappointment more like it.

Every game or sim in the history of gaming and simming has been released unfinished. Why should fs2020 be any different? That’s what patching is for.

If developers or publishers waited until their game was finished, ie perfect with zero bugs or missing or incomplete features, we’d be waiting for years to get our hands on these beauties, if ever!

this folks, is why were in this sad state. mediocrity has become acceptable and is the norm.

Don’t know since when you are playing flight sims, but your statement about unfinished flightsims at their initial release, is plain and simple wrong.

It’s just a fact of life. I’ve been gaming and simming for for more than 30 years and it’s always been this way. If you are that worried about bugs, don’t buy the game so soon after release when there’s bound to be bugs and issues. Wait six months then get it when many of the issues will have been ironed out. And to suggest fs2020 is settling for mediocrity is just plain wrong. Fs2020 is a masterpiece in the making.

It’s a rough diamond, to be sure.

Depends how you define unfinished. I’d say fs2020 is finished, it’s just some of the systems and features aren’t working as they should. Every sim that has ever been released including fsx and x plane launched with a multitude of issues that were ironed out over time.

Again, that’s simply not true.

Check your calendar mate. April 1st is still a way off.

I think he means completed? Not washed up, as it were.

Ok x plane was perfect on release? No bugs no issues? And same for fsx? Or any of the previous iterations? Did you actually fly these sims on release? They were a buggy mess

Well for one you’re not my mate. Just telling you some hard truths as someone with a bit of experience.
