Is anyone else really dissapointed?

the store is catatropphic and no one ever tries to slve these problems

Nice mature post without emotion or tantrum. I have had almost no performance issues, and besides a couple restarts to get the download to take, and one restart on the launch, it has been pretty solid.

Yes there are bugs and some functionality to be improved, but it’s a newborn.

Yes it’s the aircraft’s that really annoys me, seems like they where made in a hurry, “lets put G1000 in everything”. I have to abort all my flight because there is something not working or stops working. The sim itself runs fine and no errors, but you need a well function aircraft to enjoy it.

well, that is kinda incorrect statement there. It is 2020 right? Why would I look on 1998?

The sim is buggy, unfinished etc…and as I said many times, it is absolutely alright. But it should have been sold as a BETA and people would not be bitching about it.

Simmers were horny and most of them would buy and enjoy it. But, putting a label saying FINISHED product, well. I still see many bugs that were in alpha beta for a long time.

Ms flight simulator 4 should work just fine

Why does that make you ‘sad’? And most sim enthusiasts start with a base game and then buy add ons. None simulator games have DLC it isn’t something special that just hardcore simmers do.

Is there actually anyone out there where the game is working without errors?

I am running GTX 1070 8GB with Ryzen 3700X at 4.2Ghz, 32GB RAM. I am having solid 35-40 FPS on Airbus A320 in the most detailed airports such as Heathrow, Madrid, JFK and O’ Hare. On cruise i am getting around 42-43 FPS inside cockpit. While in a GA i am getting constant 55 - 60 FPS everywhere. Yes i was a beta tester, so i had the opportunity to tweak the sim before release. Here are the two thing that helped me a lot.

  1. Enable Hyperthreading - The sim does support multi threading and it performs way better when it is enabled.

  2. In Nvidia Control panel, enable threaded optimization to ON.

I kept my game settings a combination of High and Ultra. Do not start with ultra, i would suggest start with low or medium, then slowly experiment all the way to ultra. This will give you which settings you need to sacrifice and which one you don’t.

For me my rig had the worst FPS hit when i set Terrain Level Of Details and Object Level Of Details to MAX. So i have set both of them to 100 and it is fine. Also if your PC is CPU bottleneck, try reducing the AI Traffic, Ground Vehicles, Ground Personals etc… this will give a few FPS boost.

All the sims i have ever played so far needs tweaking starting from FS2004, FSX, Prepar3d. Especially XPlane need a lot of offline tweaking using rendering settings plugin, so this is not new to me. Trust me this is the only sim i achieved this level of performance with a very little tweaking.

Also i am seeing a huge potential of FPS improvement that Asobo can do. For e.g. In XPlane you get constant FPS in both cockpit and in external view, where as in MSFS2020 i am getting 40 FPS on Airbus A320 Cockpit and 60FPS on external. This tells us that, there is few things Asobo can tweak here and there is a huge room for improvement.

Think about the vast objects, trees that the sim renders when you are in an external view and still getting a good FPS. Whereas in the cockpit sim renders very less objects but something is causing the FPS to fall down. If Asobo can identify and fix them, it will be great!. Hope this helps you guys. Happy Tweaking! and Happy Flying!.

Hi there, to me, the game is amazing but there are definitely some things around the airliners that need to be ironed out bug wise… the autopilots don’t seem to work very well but I trust this will be fixed, the pax signs don’t work which is a bit irritating realism wise and yesterday I couldn’t stop the pushback after I started to turn… bit irritating and the ‘travel to’ seems buggy, i click on a certain point in cruise, it goes there but the cockpit seems completely reset to the condition before departure and then if I try to skip along the 'travel to sections I haven’t got enough fuel?? Even though its a 787 and can travel a lot further than my journey which was kathmandu to heathrow… otherwise very very good and I trust, as you say, it will be worked on. I know the other person said they think you’ve brought it out too early but in my opinion I think brining it out now, although it may not be in perfect condition, there are a lot more people to notice bugs and get it all ironed out.

Does your 787 front landing gear bounce up and down like it’s got a dent in the rim?

I had the same problem and there is no one working ON THESE BUGS

Well, I’m sorry to say I have not yet been able to get it started. Took overnight plus to download, wouldn’t start, spotted a link to updates which I thought must help…started to download from the beginning again! No sign of the sim in File explorer. Back to fsx for me, if I can get it to work in Windows 10. Or should I revert to Windows 7?

We’re not whiners, just disappointed Flight Simmers.

Yes it does… but as I say… i trust this will get fixed. I assume your ‘travel to’ will only let you select one point in the cruise then you’ve magically not got enough fuel to go elsewhere along the cruise?

let me first say I agree with you on the labeling it “finished” is tough. I have certainly had my frustrations with the sim. but how can you define “finished” anyway… I am just excited to be in MFS2020. I probably would have paid $100 a month ago to be an alpha tester.

they are also not forcing you to pay for it. it’s all a choice. don’t like it, don’t play it. Get your private license all those planes have exact flight dynamics and excellent scenery - at least that’s what I am told.

I want to think that the performance, being the main issue, will improve as time goes by.Other than that, the only issue I can find is that the base planes have way too many inop. components and would be nice to have something a more sim-friendly rather than so “arcadey”
But let’s not lie ourselves: Those are default planes and this is why there’s a marketplace and upcoming realistic payware more complete planes coming down the pipes.
Other than that, really impressed.
Things I appreciate the most:

  • Not having to pay a monthly subscription for AIRAC
  • Built-in multiplayer
  • Amazing weather
  • Real time - 3 month old tops scenery
Let’s see how the community reacts and how much content gets created for free: i’m pretty sure we ain’t seen nothing yet.

But then you know what you are getting into. I did not know i was getting into it as an early Beta tester, and that is what is causing all the negative mess. People are expecting bugs, but this is way over the “normal” bug limit.

Guys tell me one thing. Is there any other sim that gives you this much level of detailed and functional default aircraft?. Tell me how many of you guys still prefer playing default aircrafts on those sims where a payware or a better freeware is available?. Be happy that it has bugs, which can be fixed rather than no functionality at all. None of the games were perfect upon release. How many version did prepar3d released since from the launch?. How many version did XPlane released so far?. Over the time slowly they got polished. Who knows people like Zibo may come and turn a default aircraft into a study level aircraft or asobo itself improves the default aircraft to a payware level. So i would say wait and see how the sim is getting evolved.

Listen, everyone knows that this is just the baseline.

How are some people not gateful? Well, what do you expect when Microsoft released a game with some problems comming straight out from Alpha? There are lots of topics / bug reports regarding this problems, but they still have not been fixed.

I completly understand that this is only the beggining, but Microsoft should have expected this kind of reviews from players, since they released a game with a lot of problems.
