Greetings!
In the course of using the MSFS flight simulator, I have purchased and/or downloaded a number of scenery add-ons for the Moscow Russia area - and I am sure that each and every one was carefully crafted and works wonderfully.
My question is: How do I verify that a particular scenery package is actually loaded and/or active within the simulation? (Other than flying over the areas, that is. . .
) Especially since various scenery packages add different things to the Moscow scenery I would like to be able to verify that they’re all working and don’t fight with each other.
Thanks!
P.S.
I would really like to be able to do this without additional third-party add-ons if possible.
Third party content that is loaded should have a plug looking symbol on the map.
And how do I get there from here? What menu is that?
If they are in the community folder, and were installed properly, they will be active.
The sim loads everything that you place in your Community Folder when you start the sim.
However, some files are often “double packed” when downloaded.
When you extract the download and put that in the Community Folder, open the file.
If you see a structure like this, the addon will be active when you start the sim.
If however, you see another file folder, and none of this, you need to delete the outer folder, leaving one that contains the mod’s files.
If they were purchased from the Marketplace, and installed through the Content Manager, they will be active as well.
Any conflicts generally result in some visual issues or CTD’s.
that is the world map screen, the legend on the right can be brought up by pressing the “L” key, but isnt necessary to finding the addon content on the map.
Use Addon Linker and you can see what’s there and also on a map which is quite handy, furthermore you can arrange your addon for area / country / state whatever works for you to enable and disable areas as needed
For in sim you could also check in the market and select to show purchased and you can see the one you have bought from the marketplace
