I want to free up Disk Space .
I am requesting opinions on whether it is safe and OK to remove( Uninstall) the Flight Training and Landing Challenges from my content manager?
best rgrards
I removed them for the same reason and have had no issues.
If you’re not using them, there’s no issue with removing them.
Should be no issue removing them, but I also don’t think it’ll give you much space back at all.
Confirmed, I removed them all this morning and everything is still working just fine
If you change your mind you can always download the packages again
Yes… I removed them months ago.
This is a great idea. I have no interest in them will get rid of mine too.
Thank you for your TIMELY replies!! Much Thanks
best Regards
I’ve never seen an uninstall option in the Content Manager. Where is that option located, please?
Simply click on the item(s) you want to remove and click delete.
Gotcha! I’ll try that next time I’m in there, still trying to figure out why I haven’t received an update notice yet. Th e MS Store is a hot mess, with errors from attempted downloads there.
Were you part of the last beta?
If yes, you have to remove MSFS from the insider hub.
I have removed stuff like that also. In fact I have never even installed any world updates other the the US. I guess I am a home body. If there were only a scenery update for the was the west coast of Florida that’s probably the only thing I would have installed so far. Low and slow over the stuff I recognize from my RL flying days. This sim is far from perfect but its nice to see land marks I recognize. Not possible with Xplane or P3D out of box
Unfortunately, I was not. I didn’t even make the Gamma or Delta group … I’ve had issues with the downloads ever since the second update. I wish MS had an actual Chat line, the idea of making an appointment for a telephone call that I have to wait for doesn’t strike me as great customer service…
have you looked up if there are scenery usermods ?, i bet there are a few in your nieghbourhood.
I didn‘t get a notice in the store either but I simply started the sim and it redirected me to the update.
Using the MSFS repair function has been reported to trigger the update.
I was hoping it would pick up the update when I started the sim, no joy, that’s when I attempted the update option in the store. That’s where it errors out and won’t download. Actually, neither do Digital Ownership or Gaming Services, which fail also. Grrrrr…
Thanks, I think I’ve tried that in the past. Terminate, Repair and Reset. Fingers crossed, this thing is becoming an actual PIA…
