Is it worth to switch?

Here are all my current settings. These are ever evolving and I make no guarantee they are correct.

Between Synchronous Space Swap and Advanced Super Sample Filtering it seems I have two smoothing options on. I’ll experiment some more with them independently.

NVIDIA Control Panel (GTX 1070)
• Image Sharpening: Off (Handled by NIS scaler)
• Anisotropic filtering :16x (Off in game menu)
• Background Application Max Frame Rate: 20fps

Oculus Link Cable
• Deny Access to data if is connected to PC’s USB. I read somewhere that may help. Normally I just plug into the power adapter.

Virtual Desktop Streamer (on PC Settings)
• Preferred Coded: HVEC
Virtual Desktop Streaming Options (In Headset)
• VR Graphics Quality: Medium – Says for 2070 but it didn’t seem to hurt
• VR Framerate: 60 FPS – Lowest option I could pick
• VR Bitrate: 150 Mbps (Max)
• Sharpening: 75% (Default, I don’t notice much difference so I kept it default)
• Synchronous Space Swap: Always On (Supposed to help fill in frames)
• Sliced Encoding: On (for improved latency)
• Video Buffering: Off (for improved latency)
• Increase Color Vibrance: On
• Increase Video Nominal Range: Off – Might be good for blacks but my home airport is already too dark. I do like what it does to the sky by my Cessna 172’s pitiful taxi lights are just terrible.

OVRServer
• running in console windows

Steam VR Settings
• Resolution per eye: 2016x2122 100% - Not sure
what I should use
• Advanced Super Sample Filtering: On (For me makes the video smooth)

NIS Shader
• 80% 1612x1689
• Sharpness usually 10% to 50%

MSFS Accessibility Options:
• Set UI scale to 90 - 100. This makes menus easier to read and the Virtual Toolbar menu easier to focus.
• Minimum text size 22
MSFS Traffic Options under VR:
• The default land and see densities for me were set to 0. I upped them to make the VR environment more lifelike.

In Game VR Graphics Settings (Anisotropic is set in the NVIDIA Panel and Off here)

I have noticed for the above, bumping up the graphics options in game has never caused a perceived impact, likely as the frames are getting filled in nicely.

Dropping graphics settings lower, including NIS scaling down impacts visual quality too much and can cause black edges with head tracking for me. I never gain the frames back to make it work doing.

Hey,

so i have tested with some Settings Rendescale and SS and others now with this Settings i become 22-24 on Ground and over 30 in the Air with FBW A32N

sometimes little stutters but overall it is ok and a good compromiss

kind regards

Those look to be great numbers for the 1070 Ti, especially with the NIS scaling at 100%.

Yes it is real  Now iam testing with the new VR Toolkit which came out a few Hours ago.

iam not sure which Modus is better NIS or FSR.

But this Toolkit is amazing.
