Is MSFS intended to be a simulator or a game?

Any program can be a simulator or a game depending on how you use it. What’s the difference between a simulator and a game if you’re flying an Icon A5 (presumably one of the most user friendly aircraft in the selection)?

A proper simulator only requires a robust engine upon which fully developed aircraft can exist as modules. This is what Asobo is responsible for building: a world in which high fidelity aircraft can exist and interact appropriately with the environment and associated physics. As far as aircraft, well…they should provide a few to showcase the capabilities of the SDK, but they developed a simulator, not planes.
