My hotas one stick, which I use to control the rudder, is also being detected by msfs with the same ‘signal’ (JOYSTICK R-AXIS Z) as the rocker switch on the throttle. This problem has just appeared as I have been using the rocker switch on the throttle to activate ‘HOLD THROTTLE REVERSE THRUST’
I am using a PC. (Edited).
Anyone know if this is a new software bug or is my hotas one just broken?
I’m not at my gaming computer at the moment to check the exact details, but the Hotas One has a setting to control this in the Thrustmaster control panel. It’s something to do with the number of axes - you need to select the higher number so that these axes are treated separately. Of course this has to be done on a PC - it’s not clear from your post whether or not you’re using the H One on an XBOX.

OK - found it on the Thrustmaster support website:
You need to select the 5/8 Axis Mode. For some reason the Hotas One occasionally ‘forgets’ this setting.
Thanks for the advice. I visited the thrustmaster website and tried to install the driver and firmware but I ran into problems. I downloaded a file that appeared to be a combination of firmware and driver — i got a message that the firmware was successfully updated but my system does not to have updated the driver as I have no hotas control panel.when i go to windows bluetooth and devices the hotas one shows up but when clicking on the ‘more’ option all I get is ‘remove’.
For some reason Thrustmaster seem to hide the control panel quite well. If you go to ‘All apps’ and scroll down to ‘Thrustmaster TM Flight Series’ you should be able to expand that and see the Control Panel.

Finally I got things right. Kinda like ‘flying blind’. It took 1) unhooking my hotas one from my PC, then 2) restarting windows and then 3) re-binding a couple of controls in msfs to get everything working. I got no indication if my system is using a new hotas one driver—probably my lack of knowledge using windows 11.
But I did get that annoying microsoft message that ‘an unauthorized program wanted to change my computer’. I responded ‘yes’ but I got no indication what then happened. Hopefully it was the hotas driver being installed rather than some malware.
Thanks again for your hekp. It is much appreciated.

Thanks for the info, I’m new to PC and trying to find the control centre for the hotas was driving me crazy.
