In FS2020 the Navigraph Nav Data add-on was needed so the sim would have up to date navaids when using real world flight planning tools. Is this needed anymore in 2024 or does the game keep itself up to date?

Nowhere near the amount that Jeppesen has. Furthermore LIDO charts are tailored for catagory C and D aircraft.
