Is not possible to "cancel" a request to ATC?

I made a flight plan at simbrief from Athens to Cairo, started my sim, my a320NX was at the gate and, after a couple of minutes, I was ready to request to ATC the radar to Cairo and…I had a stutter and accidentally request “direct flight to east”. The worst thing is that I could not “return” to request another autorization that could drives me to Cairo. I could not find any way to go one step back and correct my request. Is that possible?

Hi there

As you can see through the forum, ATC is quiet simple and need a BIG update, hopefully soon !!

To answer your question unfortunately you can’t cancel a ATC order ! :grinning: … the only option is to make your own way.

Safe flight

Not really a valid Wishlist item. Moved to #community-support:tech-support

Two years later? C’mon I don’t even play this anymore lol
Someone wants to show effectiveness…

It gets bumped, and we review it when we can. The requirements for Wishlist items changes over time and posts are moved accordingly.

In case anyone else has this issue, try re-executing/activating a flight plan in the FMS system, maybe even changing it slightly and back again. When I do this in the CJ4, the sim treats it as if I’m wanting to file a new flight plan and I get a new IFR request option in the ATC window. I.e. If given a specific transition for an approach, I’ll modify the FMS route to add it, then I could radio that in as an entirely new plan as far as ATC is concerned (only I don’t do this since I’m still using the original route).
