Is the Coolermaster WME v2 1250w PSU good?

hello,
am upgrading my pc for an rtx4090 and 13700k cpu, since availablity is so limited in my country for 1000w and above PSU’s i went for the coolermaster WME v2 1250w PSU, it has mixed reviews ,i know i shouldnt cheap out on a psu but also i dont have a lot of options

what do you think should i keep it or it is risky?

Yes, that psu is fine especially with the lack of options you mention having.

I believe the 4090 requires either an ATX 3.0 P/S or a 16-pin adapter cable. ATX 3.0 has a 12+4 pin power cable, whilst the adapter cable requires 3 x 8-pin connectors dedicated to the cable. The Corsair has 1 x 8 pin, 1 x 4+4 pin, and 1 x 6+2 pin connectors. You need (at least) one of those for your motherboard, leaving you short. It is not recommended to use a pigtail to add connectors to a single modular socket.

If it was me I would spend the money (including customs fee or whatever) to source a P/S that meets the new ATX 3.0 spec, and includes a 16 pin cable.

For a 4090, it is better to go with an ATX3.0 PSU, such as this:

It’s not that big a deal, though. All of the 4090s include adapter cables, and as long as you’re careful to fully plug in the cables and not put stress on the connector by bending the cable too close to it, the odds of ignition are pretty low. Using the 4090 with a Corsair 1000W here and adapter cable with no problems.

In my post I mentioned that you need 3 x 8-pin cables for the 16-pin adapter cable. That isn’t something I know, it’s something I read on a (pretty well regarded) website.

Is that true? Do you have three separate modular sockets feeding that one cable?

Corsair >> CoolerMaster

i went with the coolermaster 1250 for lack of options and its doing good till now .
