Hi all! i am wondering if the default sim rate is really as in real life… from my point of view it is quite slow as in real life. I have taken an small video descending, holding a speed of 240 knots and going through some clouds. It seems to me that the default sim rate is very slow…
I think this is a very valid question and it’s something I’ve wondered as well. In my opinion it’s not a top priority item but I would be interested in hearing other users thoughts?
The less detailed the clouds are, the more you have the impression of being slow. Same “problem” still have some race sims, they counter this partially by motion blur or increased fov.
At least from time perspective, I think it is accurate.
I’ve recorded a few timelapse videos along with live cam footages and the sunrise/sunset timings are mostly aligned very well.
It might be a perception thing?
this is a real recording of a 747 approaching at 250 knots! have a look at the speed of clouds passing by! is like speeding the sim rate at about x 3!
