So here I am, upside down in shallow water and I am wondering is there a way to start over without restarting the sim from scratch.
There must be a faster way that will bypass reloading the sim which on my old machine takes just under 5 minutes.
I guess that this will teach me to always check the gear state on the final.
- Just press Y
- Now tap or keep F4 pressed to rise up
- Press Y to exit slew. You will want to rise to at least 3000 feet as your airspeed will be zero and you need to dive to speed up

Use Slew commands (you’ll need to look it up in keyboard commands menu).
It may or may not work depending on how much damage the plane took and what you enabled for.realism, but it’s worth a try.
Click Esc and then click “restart” and you will reset to your original starting point and configuration.

Why not push Y button on keyboard ( I have one for xbox) this should turn aircraft upright.Then Slew up to a few thousand feet and off you go?
So I could out of slew’d out of this ditch (real damage on) now Im going to have to try it again and see. I only did this because someone started a thread about it being impossible to ditch a plane:
