yeah, as long as you don’t delete the navdata that’s installed, the navdata continues to work. But you will miss out on any bug fix or updates to the AIRAC cycle, but the old cycle that you have installed when your subscription is active still works.
Good luck with climbing up the ladder… I started flight simming straight to Airbus A320. So I can get anyone anywhere on the A320, but put me in a GA, and I have no idea how to fly it or what to do with it… 
The advantage of Navigraph (or Aerosoft NavDataPro) is that it can update the nav data of add-on aircraft that use a custom FMS implementation. The Navigraph data manager software for MSFS can already directly update the FMS AIRAC for the Aerosoft CRJ and the Leonardo Maddog, and it will update the new PMDG 737-700 once it is installed.
The CRJ and Maddog come by default with nav data that is already several months out of date. The PMDG will probably come with an AIRAC for the current nav data cycle, but that will expire on May 18th. There is no problem with using any of these add-on aircraft with old nav data, but as time goes by there is an increasing chance that they will get out of sync with r/w procedures.
