Ok great will try all of that out. I have a 1440p monitor what would be the best for me using super resolution? Thanks sorry for all the questions im terrible with things like this
No no, you’re natively in 1440p. No need for super resolution or supersampling (unless you want to test higher rendering resolutions).
Ok ive just tried 1920 x 1080 upscaled to 2560 x 1440 with your settings and what a difference I think I might stick to the upscaling as ive never seen it work like it is at the minute may not be the greatest thing but I cant see much differemce as the upscaling is doing such a good job
Another thing to consider is trying to turn on Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling under Window settings if it’s not already on. It boosted my FPS by 20 to 30 frames.
- Click Start, then head to Settings > System.
- From the left-hand menu, select Display.
- Below Multiple Displays, click Graphics settings.
- Turn on the toggle for Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
- Restart your computer.
My settings and system specs are pretty identical to yours then I found out that this setting was turned off by default. Hope this helps because I know the frustration you are having.
This site goes more into detail about it and if it may work for you.

I see that OP has a 2TB platter drive that I assume is where his game files are located. If his rolling cache is on that drive I could see problems.
Besides the advice to upgrade the CPU to a 5800X, he might also want to consider cloning that platter drive to a 2TB SATA SSD. You can get a good one for around $65.00.
If it’s on an HDD definitely it could bring some issues. I have it on the SSD and, while in theory should perform good, it brought some issues.
Thanks for that reply, but I dont have HAGS as I am on a Radeon 6800 which doesnt have HAGS. Thanks anyway ![]()
Here you go… and it’s got 768MB of 3D cache!!

AMD 64 core CPU w/768MB 3D cache
TDP only 280W. That’s darned impressive.
