Is There an SNJ available?

Does anyone know if there is an SNJ (AT-6) available?. Way back when, my boss, a combat experienced fighter pilot, put me in the front seat in one while he put it through every maneuver he knew. Never experienced anything like it before or since.

Nothing yet, fingers crossed A2A Simulations brings their excellent FSX/P3D T-6 to MSFS. Unfortunately this hasn’t been confirmed and if it does happen will take some time.

I’ve also been blessed to fly it in real life and have the FSX version of A2A’s T-6. Hope it’s one of the first products they bring to MSFS…along with their remarkable B-17G.

Wow, watching a review on that A2A rendition, it looks like it’s already pretty much on par for the current Flight Simulator version. Just a higher resolution version of the textures from the source material if that’s possible, but the level of detail is already incredible. This would easily be my favorite plane if they could bring it to the platform.

If you check their boards, they have said their first FS2020 plane will be the Comanche 250. It was going to be an Aerostar but the plane they were using for verifying performance had a forced belly landing New Years Eve and was written off after something failed in the gear hydraulics. The Comanche is apparently a fallback plan but Scott, the CEO, said they are waiting on something in the FS2020 SDK to be able to implement something or other.

Don’t know the workload but one would hope if they are waiting on something they could bring other planes up to some readiness level where they can finish them quickly once they get whatever they need in the SDK.

Unfortunately the T-6 hasn’t been mentioned that I’ve seen. They did say something about new planes and not just reissuing their old lineup so they might never revisit the T-6. They aren’t saying much beyond Comanche, then Aerostar, but after that who knows? Until A2A reveals more roadmap or timetable, they are a mystery.
