Is there any good tiller controller out there coming soon?

Man, it would be nice if Honeycomb or Thrustmaster came out with a dedicated tiller. Just can’t believe nobody has thought of doing one. Other than the crazy $300+ prototypes out there.

Anybody have any info if there is something in the works?

There is probably not much demand. Few addons even support tiller usage and those that do have an option to use another axis (such as yaw).

Just got my airbus tiller. Haven’t tested it yet but looks and feels good. They have boeing and airbus style tillers.

This is what they’re trying to avoid.

Could a steering wheel do the same job? Like the ones used for driving games. Some decent ones can be had for cheap.

Maybe I should have mentioned that the prices are in AUD not in USD

Ive seen 3d printed airbus style, 75 degree and boeing style. it probably wouldnt be THAT difficult to build one , maybe using parts from joystick or cheap racing wheel. and using mobiflight or spadnext to program the range. just pondering this idea.

I was going to suggest using a separate joystick but I just tried using my T16000 and assigning the L Axis Y for the rudder. It started out pretty good but after taxiing for a bit I noticed the plane steering left when i had my joystick centered. Checked my sensitivity settings and sure enough the neutral position for my joystick was offset in the sim.

Didn’t find a way to center it so I just unbinded the rudder and continued using my rudder pedals. If anybody knows what the problem could be, please enlighten me.

I tried it again after replugging my joystick and now it works pretty well. It really gives you a lot more precision when trying to stay on the yellow line during taxi.

I was looking at this, but man $300+ dollars is just not justifiable

I just use the twist function on a separate joystick than my yoke. Not perfect, but works.
