Having played for a long time, it seems now that there is a peak time where the MS servers (Canada - Eastern time) cannot supply the full terrain data. It is in the evening around 20:00H. The textures are blurry and don’t seems to get updated. A few hours later, it does seems to recover. Am I dreaming this or it is an observe fact.
Seems both Logical and possible
"You can server some of the people , all of the time, and server all of the people, some of then time, but can you justify the expense and resources to server ALL of the People, ALL of the time ? "
I’ve been wondering the same.
I see it all the time, if I play early in the AM, fps will run at 20 and everything looks so dam good, then 800am roles around and BAM! all of a sudden the fps will drop below 20 sometimes never exceeding 15, and things on the ground look like a Abstract painting, and hour or 2 later it will be back again, only to do the exact same thing around lunch hour, and then forget about the 3-8pm time frame, because thats when the majority of people are going to be on, and the best part of all this is that since the sim uses the Azure network, you not only have to deal with all the players in the game, but all the other traffic using Azure, Big Corporations, MS win online users (alright that one might not be a big hit last time I saw) but you get the idea.
Thats the biggest reason I didnt buy the game, (one of my boys bought it for me to help get over the wife’s death), if all your content is coming from the net, then your pretty much reliant on it. Since playing offline seems to look more or less like the FSX or P3D or Xplane.
Actually, Mr Spock could not have said it better.
I think Mr. Lincoln would disagree with that statement. Bhwhahaha
Mr Spock would also probably have said, when talking about the X-Box players vs the PC Players
“The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few”
