The problem (aside from a few bugs) are the god awful default bindings. Those of us that do use the controllers had to rebind most of the functionality, like sec./ter. Cockpit interaction and most importantly increase/decrease to (for me personally) the controller hat switch thingy. That way it is 100% reliable.
It is so immersive to reach into the overhead and flip switches.
