Obligation. People will either work to meet their obligations - or seek ways to circumvent them. The thing I will never understand is why? If you meet your obligations usually it’s just one step. But to circumvent it takes constant work - and anyone who is cheated by your laziness or malfeasance then has to be remedied or lied to. When you realize which case is the bigger PITA the answer is pretty simple.
Just do the right thing, eh?
