Is there a patch available so I can delete items from the content manager? There was a video on you tube however, I don’t have that option of deleting a file, it was mentioned that there was a patch, however, I cannot find one. My issue is when I try to reinstall some air ports the download stops just shy of a few megabits, thought if I deleted the entire air port and reinstalled it might work.
That patch was the last update to the sim. There are no user installable patches for MSFS. It updates you to the latest version automatically. If you don’t have the latest patch, you can’t play it. If you’re able to get into your content manager, you’re as updated as you can be atm.
If you need to delete content and can’t do it from your content manager, go to you Official folder and delete the folder containing the content you want to delete. Then re-load the sim and reinstall them from scratch from the marketplace after the fact.
I had that issue a while back with my Mooney. The update failed, and it wouldn’t let me uninstall it. I stopped the sim, deleted the Mooney folder from Official, restarted the sim, re-downloaded, and it’s been right as rain since.
EDIT: You can do that with ANY problematic content in the Official folder. Last sim update, it was repeatedly failing while trying to download both the A320 package - just looping over and over. I stopped the update, deleted, went back, and it worked after that. Then it did the same with the 787. I did the same again, and the rest of the update went off without a hitch.
I’m not sure offhand. I have the Steam version, plus it’s at a custom location on my system. Perhaps someone else can chime in and help you out with that one.
Indeed. I really REALLY hate the whole patch updater system being in game like that. Why in the hell can’t it just update externally like every other PC game… oh wait… It updates like any other console game…
I really don’t know how to take this game, it is so finicky. I tried several of your ideas but they did not work, so I tried to download the items again, hitting each one several times and low and behold, they worked. Who would of figured. Anyway, thanks for the help gents, greatly appreciated.
