Yeah, the thought had crossed my mind, I’ll give it a crack. I have a couple of old joysticks lying around too, might have to open those up ans see if the pots are similar.
have yall figured this out? I just got mine, i can’t navigate unless i have the controller on, but then when i get in thte cockpit my hotas is designated as “copilot” now. Very frustrating.

Had same issue on HOTOS One
On the Joystick, under the hand rest is a slotted screw. Turn it to the right until it stops. Locks the twist action. Program toggle buttons on throttle for rudder control.

Hello All,
I do not know am I a right place but on PC with MSFS 2020 I have an issue with T Flight Hotas One. Most probably I am doing something wrong but I was not able to find what.
Issue: The joystick is sensing by windows (11), driver up to date, in MSFS 2020 options the game also sensing all directions, however when I am trying to do the training mission or just a free flight the joystik X and Y axis + the throttle part is not working. The buttons yes, the rudder yes (jostick Z axis). Setup is default but even if I am changing them it is still not works.
Is somenone seen similar or know what am I doing wrong?
