It does not launch today ! What's the problem?

I have a purchased version of FS2020 from Microsoft Store.
Last night I flew all night with no problem and everything was perfect.

Today I open again to take a flight. FS2020 does not start !!!
The intro opens normally with 3-4 Asobo displays etc. etc.
Arrived to a little music with the mountain, the wheel spins endlessly but nothing happens.

Could someone tell me what’s wrong, please ???
Why did it work so well yesterday but not today? I had this problem before when I had the Game Pass version and I had never had this problem since I bought the digital version. What worked yesterday, and what no longer works today ??

What did you try already? First thing to try would be a reboot. This might also be a problem while connecting to the servers, I cannot reproduce the issue though. Did you catch yesterdays update already?

I once had that problem (game pass version) so I removed mods from community folder, rebooted pc, and everything started fine again. I was able to add the mods again without further problems. Hope that helps.

You are perfectly right !! I did what you told me and it now works great! A big thank you !! What is this problem ?? Does this mean that we will have to remove all MODS before starting the simulation? That doesn’t make sense! Thanks again.

Mods to the simulator can break things as its updated. Always move mods out before you update. Once updated, restart the sim, this gives it the best chance to actually work. Wait for mods to be updated for the new version of the sim (if needed).

Thanks ! It’s appreciate.

I have had no problems since day one with any updates, but I have never modded or changed anything in the files. I figure I will let the game mature a bit before throwing add ons at it.? What do you think? Anyone else have similar experience? (Running on i7 9700k, 32gig ram, nvme hard drive, gtx 1070)

Adding mods is purely a personal thing. If you are happy with no mods then don’t use them. I reiterate that mods can break the sim, especially after an update.

Regards

Yes, I agree with you.
As long as we know that Mods can prevent FS2020 from starting, it’s up to us to make the decision to use them, or to remove them altogether during an update. Now I know it.

I am now closing this topic since the OP has the solution
