It looks so unnatural compared to real life

As a visual effects artist, I can tell you this is as close to reality as you can get with average realtime computing power available today. MSFS visual shaders are quite clever using resources. And do amazing job during day time and dusk. I was quite impressed when I first had the chance to lay my eyes on the alpha, and it still amazes me occasionally.

Especially check the second half of the video, when aircraft turns to final.

It is uncanny how it can look like real life under certain conditions. CGI in feature films can look much closer to real life, using more detailed light trace, global illumination, and texture shaders. But those took several hours worth of rendering per frame.

Indeed it might not look accurate under some conditions. Especially at night. There are still improvements to be done. But considering what we had before, it is quite unfair to call visuals unnatural.
